Activities: Freebird Robotics FRC #2837Current phase of the 2009 season:
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updates2/20/09The video database has been started! All the videos will be available for download (individually and in bulk) HERE! It will be updated as often as possible! 2/19/09We have just undertaken a pre-season/mid-season scouting activity! The goal: gather as many pre-season videos of robots as possible, organize them, study them, and (hopefully) make all the videos available for other teams in a downloadable format! 2/17/09Finished just in time! The robot was crated and successfully deliver for shipping to the Arizona regional! Great job to all! And good luck to all teams! 2/1/09The build season has been super busy! The really hasn't been any time to add any updates (much less tutorials - apologies for that)... But rest assured we have been hard at work! The robot is coming together nicely! 1/11/09Today a nice tutorial on how to separate out certain colors from images from the axis camera in LabVIEW was added. Check it out HERE or head over to the How To's Section. 1/3/09The kickoff is here! Announcing this year's game: Lunacy! (Check out the Game Description and the Game Animation) We picked up our Kit of Parts and are excited and filled with ideas for this year! 12/28/08We've set up the Axis 206 camera in a fixed position on our robot. In LabView, we developed a simple tracking program the can track circles of any color, keeping the robot centered on the target and a fixed distance away from the target. If you would like to see it in action you can download a 20mb video HERE. (We also have a lower quality 10mb version HERE) 12/20/08The prototype robot base is up and running with this year's new controller! 12/19/08The first semester of school is over in Maricopa County! We also checked out Game Hint 1 and Game Hint 2. 12/13/08We went to a community gathering with 100 students and showed off our robot base. We talked about FIRST and handed out flyers to those interested in robotics. 12/11/08The new controller arrived today! It was all unpacked, checked over and appears to be in working order. Students, however, continue to study for finals and finish out the semester.
